Company Initiatives

We believe the following initiatives are crucial to Greyson Scholar’’s competitive position in the short and long-term:


1.    Greyson Scholars Foundation  

The Greyson Scholars Foundation will assist college graduates with alleviating their debts by issuing relief and or providing grants to minimize payments or absolve them altogether.  With philanthropic contributions, donations, and other assisted means, funds will be allocated to students and families who display undue hardship.   The program will also support and be of service to those in dire need of aid due to the financial constraints caused by unreasonable minimum loan payment options and or anyone who has been impacted by delinquent accounts in spite of.  

 

2.    Emotional, Physical, & Mental Health/ Awareness 

Our aim is to provide such an ambitious service to our mentees that they will feel supported in their development of social, emotional and physical competencies.  Greyson Scholars fosters a learning environment geared towards assisting scholars’ with managing one’s emotions, thoughts, and  behaviors in diverse situations to achieve their goals and aspirations.   

 

3.    Financial Literacy

Greyson Scholars has some very aggressive short-term plans that may only be accomplished by establishing solid key partnerships with local schools, stores and financial institutions.  Our focus is to empower mentees with the knowledge that money is an abstract representation of wealth while simultaneously assisting them in activities like creating budgets and understanding stock options. Scholars will explore and learn various ways to make, spend and invest their money through both entrepreneurial endeavors and career options. 

 

4.    Cultural Competencies & Positive Self Identity 

Our mentees will be skilled at independently building, processing, and applying knowledge in high-impact ways and navigating a complex and ever-changing world.  Culturally Responsive Learning and a positive self image will be enhanced through three transferable domains and indicators.  Those indicators include communication, collaboration and critical consciousness.  We are passionate about helping our mentees bridge the gap between who they are and who think they are and can be.  

 

5.    Academic Excellence & Tenacity

All mentees will be equipped with the academic and personal skills that they need to truly be prepared for primary, secondary, and postsecondary success.  Proficiency with digital tools will drive academic achievement and self efficacy in and outside the classroom.  By valuing academic excellence with data driven goal oriented approaches scholars will both learn and display self-management and proficiency in math, reading, and writing. 

 

6.    Life Skills 

Greyson Scholars aims to give their mentees the knowledge they wish they had at a young age, rather than over emphasizing traditional means of a formal education as a roadmap to overall success.  Our focus on the life skill competency is a culmination of all the other 5 skills in practice.  We intended to help scholars approach challenges, by remaining focused, considering alternative approaches, maximizing resources, and asking for support.  We promote civic members of society as lifelong learners who understand that self education teaches you about life and the endlessness of the knowledge within it.
